Gaetz also said he supports "deep cuts" to the budget outlined in Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington's (R-TX) proposal.
Gaetz said that he believes raising the retirement age is necessary to ensure the long-term solvency of Social Security. He also said that he believes Arrington's proposal is a good starting point for discussions about how to reduce the federal budget deficit.
