The City Council is expected to vote on the development in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Atlanta residents were unable to deliver their public comments at a City Council meeting on Tuesday due to a lack of time. The meeting was scheduled to last for two hours, but it was cut short after the council ran out of time to hear from all of the speakers.
Many of the residents who were unable to speak were there to oppose the proposed "Cop City" development. The development has been met with widespread opposition from residents, who say that it would militarize the police and further oppress black and brown communities. The City Council is expected to vote on the development in the coming weeks.
