YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDuring a recent interview on One Nation, Brian Kilmeade unintentionally undermined a debunked conspiracy theory that Republicans are using to pursue the impeachment of President Joe Biden. Kilmeade interviewed former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and asked about his relationship with Viktor Shokin, the Ukrainian prosecutor general who was fired after 14 months due to allegations of ineffectiveness in tackling corruption. Shokin's dismissal in 2016, supported by then-Vice President Biden, was seized upon by Donald Trump and his allies, who claimed Biden had pressured Ukraine to protect his son Hunter Biden, who served on the board of the company Burisma. Shokin himself perpetuated this theory, but it has been repeatedly debunked by sources including Obama-era officials, Ukrainian prosecutors, and anti-corruption activists, despite Republicans still using it to push for an impeachment inquiry into alleged Biden family corruption.
