In Tuesday’s school board elections across the United States, Moms for Liberty, a right-wing group advocating for a conservative stance in schools, faced setbacks as its endorsed candidates in various states, including Pennsylvania and Virginia, encountered electoral challenges. Known for opposing racially inclusive lessons, endorsing book bans, and disseminating anti-LGBTQ messages, MfL struggled to resonate with voters. In Pennsylvania, a key battleground, despite endorsing over 50 candidates in around 28 districts, many of them were unsuccessful, with Democrats winning in school board elections. The rejection of MfL-backed GOP candidates extended to other states, with losses reported in Virginia's Loudoun County, indicating a less-than-successful night for the organization's anti-woke agenda in school politics.
