After expanding on the genuinely shocking rate at which Trump is executing the Project 2025 blueprint, Figueredo and Emma look to the impact of the Trump regime on emboldening cultures of bigotry in the US, from DHS’ discrimination against queer folks to the suicide of a young Latina child after facing rampant anti-immigrant bigotry, before wrapping up the interview by emphasizing the need for the Democratic Party to advance an agenda of actual political change if they want to escape from the fascist quagmire of the last few election cycles.
