In this video, I’m in Reading with Ceri-Ann Williams, who shares how rent-to-rent completely changed her life.
Ceri-Ann started out living in a rent-to-buy apartment, but quickly realised it was restrictive and not the long-term solution she wanted. After learning about rent-to-rent, she spoke to her landlord, changed her agreement to a corporate let, and tested the property on Airbnb with the landlord’s consent. That one decision helped her generate around £750–£900 profit per month from a property she didn’t even own.
We tour the apartment that rent-to-rent helped Ceri-Ann move into, discuss how she found a niche with Hong Kong relocators, built up direct bookings, and eventually used the money from her rent-to-rent business to buy her first property.
This is a brilliant example of how serviced accommodation and rent-to-rent can help ordinary people create cash flow, improve their lifestyle, and build towards owning a property portfolio.
