as posted by the channelTim Russert passed away the Friday before Father's Day 2008. I borrowed this footage from the first Meet the Press after his passing, 2 days later. But his words about fathers are with us always.
"Let us know, dont be afraid to tell somebody, Hey, I'm with you, we're bounded by blood. we're in this together, good times and bad and you cant close down those lines, Cause there's so many stories, so many painful stories, where daughters and fathers, sons and fathers dont talk for 7, 12, 15 years. Thank God they get back together, but you think of all that wasted time and effort. One father says, You know what? Dont fight during holidays, youll never get it back."
