As Vince Martin said, "Facebook came alive last night"...and so did Gerdes Folk City in the heart of Greenwich Village...hard to put into words what it was like being at this historic event, 40 artists who performed on the stage of Gerdes Folk City, some 50 years ago!
As Dominic Chianese said after Vince's beautiful acappella performance, "Look up the word entertainment tonight, it means to hold in an embrace and Vince held you in an embrace here tonight".....amen.

I grew up in the folk scene in Southern California, so I missed Gerdes the first time around. Thank you to all of them from this old folkie.
