Gifford then explains the role that gun control and religion played in the standoff negotiations and raid and the subsequent destruction and corruption of evidence in the aftermath. Finally Gifford describes the setting of the final day of the standoff and the actions of the government forces during the raid and the setting of the fire—and then the cover ups that followed. Gifford’s latest article is “Will ABC really tell us what happened at Waco in 1993?”
