In this video I break down the two major sociological theories, discuss where I fall on the subject then explain how modern Leftism is derived from the more dangerous theory. The First one I tackle is Structural functionalism, (I hilariously mumble the pronunciation numerous times) I talk about how this theory basically likens the institutions in our society to parts of a cohesive whole. I use a human body as an example due to the reliability to my audience. I explain how Structural Functionalism fits better with how the modern economy works than the alternative theory due to it's constant reactions to new inputs.

I then move on the more popular worldview among academics and people in my age range, and that is a Marxist based theory on how society is organized. Marx saw the relationship between the owners and producers as inherently in conflict, & believed that this misalignment of interests was oppressive to the working class. He developed this worldview due to his infant like understanding of human nature. Unfortunately for Marx, when tested his theories have consistently failed & produced more human suffering than the alternatives. Unfortunately for all of us on planet earth, repeated failure seems to have no impact on the popularity of his worldview, and the promise of utopia seems to be too tempting to let go. Marx's theories have polluted numerous fields of academia, and after decades of applying them to the culture, society is feeling the ill effects of Marxism once again. The theory is rooted in the idea of the existence of inherent conflict & exploitation. Everything the "oppressors" have is stolen from the "oppressed", by contrast the "oppressed" can gain ground by attacking the "oppressors." The irony of Marx's theories setting the stage for class, gender, & racial conflict should not be lost on you. & understanding the ideology at play should make it obvious why the regressive left acts the way they do. They believe life is a zero sum game, & if they are non-white and non-male they are already losing, already being exploited, victimized. What would you do if you truly believed this?
