Beyond the three traditional categories of machine learning (supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning), there are semi-supervised and self-supervised learning, which can be seen as special cases of supervised learning. This video explains how semi-supervised learning can be used to incorporate unlabeled data into the learning process. Self-supervised learning is about learning from auxiliary labels that are different from the target label.
