The new senators agreed that maintaining the status quo is not an option; the time for action is now. "We, as recent additions to this body are united by a simple, but important truth," said Sen. Mark Warner, "That the rising cost of health care is hobbling American business, stressing family budgets and if we do nothing nothing, and it is left unchecked, it will explode our national debt."
