3:33Now PlayingThe American Medical Association (AMA), one of the most respected voices in the medical community, today announced their support for the Senate health insurance bill. "Americans are dying from diseases we know how to treat and living in pain because they can't afford to go to a doctor," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. "Medical professionals like Dr. Wilson see this every day - they understand that the cost of inaction is too high to ignore." Speaking of the significance of the AMA's endorsement, Senator Chris Dodd said, "There is no relationship more important than the one between patient and doctor...Doctors know that this reform will help to ensure that Americans can continue to see the physician of their choice -- and that doctors can spend more time treating patients and less time fighting with insurance companies."
