By repealing the individual mandate, the GOP plan would leave 13 million people without health insurance and increase premiums. The bill would also result in Medicare and Medicaid cuts down the road that would be devastating for vulnerable patients, like children with complex medical needs, the elderly, and the poor. The Democrats say this disastrous bill will hurt those who can least afford it, all to give massive tax breaks to the top 1 percent.
