The bill will increase funding for the Drug Enforcement Administration to dismantle cartels responsible for trafficking fentanyl across the border and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to conduct counter fentanyl activity at ports of entry.
104 days ago, Senate Republicans blocked the strongest, most comprehensive bipartisan border security bill in a generation. On Thursday, Republicans will get another chance to secure the border. The bill would fix the broken asylum system, stop the flow of deadly fentanyl, give the President more tools to manage the border, and invest in border agents and officers.
