20:17Now PlayingOn September 5, 2017, President Trump announced the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. In his announcement, he noted “I look forward to working with Republicans and Democrats in Congress to finally address all of these issues…As I’ve said before, we will resolve the DACA issue with heart and compassion – but through the lawful Democratic process...It is now time for Congress to act!” Well, Mr. President, I would strongly agree that it is time to act – in fact, it is well past the time to act to protect Dreamers – and it is the job of this Congress to do it. Our Republican president told the Republican-held Congress to get to work on a DACA fix. Now is the time. Now, not in March, not in February, right now.
