Schatz highlighted amendments to the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act in his opening remarks which would expand housing program eligibility and succession authority to those who are onequarter Hawaiian. It also authorizes the Hawaiian Homes Commission to set interest rates on home loans based on market conditions. Senator Hirono is an original cosponsor of the bill. Press release on the legislation
