Van Hollen speaks on effort to block offensive arms sales to Netanyahu Govt as starvation grips Gaza

U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) speaks on the Senate Floor in support of two Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block the sale of over $675 million in offensive U.S. weapons to the Netanyahu government as its near-total blockade on the delivery of food and aid to civilians in Gaza has fueled widespread starvation and the deaths of innocent civilians, including children. He stresses that the U.S. must cease its complicity in the worsening humanitarian catastrophe and destruction in Gaza and instead use our leverage to secure a durable ceasefire, return all the hostages, ensure the steady flow of humanitarian aid, and ensure adherence to international humanitarian law.
