Today marks the 11 month anniversary of the start of airstrikes to counter ISIL and Kaine spoke about the progress being made in Syria and Iraq, something he was able to observe firsthand on his trip. He also talked about his push in Congress to pass a new Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) that would define U.S. mission objectives in the allied effort against ISIL.
