Tim Kaine (D-VA) spoke about his personal experience as a civil rights attorney fighting for fair housing practices, and how fair housing policy helps promote justice and provides localities with guidance on how best to plan and invest in their communities. Kaine pushed back against an amendment that would dramatically weaken a rule that protects individuals from housing discrimination.
