Bennet was a co-author of the CROWDFUND Act, which was signed into law as a part of the JOBS Act in 2012 and allows small businesses and start-ups to raise capital online and through social media, while still protecting investors. Beyond popular donation-based crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, the CROWDFUND Act allows individuals to become actual investors.
