The Supreme Court is currently hearing a set of cases addressing whether secular, for-profit corporations, can deny their employees contraceptive insurance coverage provided for under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), based on the corporations' and their shareholders' personal religious beliefs. Senator Murray led the Senate's brief filed in the Hobby Lobby case.
