15:08Now PlayingToday, U.S. Senator Patty Murray, Chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, hosted a virtual roundtable with the AARP Washington state office on the urgent need to lower the cost of prescription drugs. During the roundtable, Senator Murray outlined her efforts to lower the cost of prescription drugs and answered questions from AARP Washington members.
As Chair of the Senate Health Committee, Senator Murray is fighting to pass proposals that would lower costs for families by giving Medicare the power to negotiate for lower drug prices, cracking down on outrageous price increases, and capping seniors’ out-of-pocket drug costs.
