I'M DEMANDING ANSWERS: Grilling Russ Vought on Trump’s $1.5 Trillion Defense Budget Request

At a Senate Budget Committee hearing with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russ Vought on President Trump’s fiscal year 2027 budget request—U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), a senior member and former chair of the Senate Budget Committee and Vice Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, slammed Trump’s proposal to slash domestic investments to increase defense spending by roughly half a trillion dollars. She pressed Director Vought on the astronomical request for war funding and on what President Trump’s war of choice in Iran has already cost American taxpayers.
