4:19Now PlayingU.S. Senator Tim Scott is continuing a tradition he started when joining the Senate, Senator Scott will be meeting with community leaders, church groups, civic organizations, and everyday South Carolinians to hear directly from them about what makes their county unique.
Senator Scott spoke with Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Pittman and several cadets of the Bulldog Battalion. While located at South Carolina State University, the Bulldog Battalion is comprised of students from multiple HBCUs, including Vorhees College in Bamberg County. Senator Scott also answered questions from the cadets regarding his life story, his path to becoming an elected official, and his work to ensure diverse representation in medical trials for the COVID vaccines and other diseases.
Senator Scott’s office is taking submissions for stops on his county tour. South Carolina residents are encouraged to offer suggestions on unique parts of their county. Ideas can be submitted at countytour@scott.senate.gov
