YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThis Thursday, Congress will hold a long overdue hearing on congressional insider trading.
None of the several reform proposals would fix the problem.
At least two major sets of questions have never even been asked, let alone adequately addressed.
First is underinclusion. Why should a ban on congressional insider trading exclude private equity, hedge fund, or real estate investments?
Reform proposals also need missing remedies, including compensation to investors AND new industrial policies free of corporate influence.
