12:39Now PlayingActivists at the COP21 conference in Paris are outraged by the fossil fuel industry’s influence over the talks, claiming that big business is hijacking the pivotal climate negotiations by providing official sponsorships that allow them to get away with tax evasion and “greenwash” their continued use of dirty energy.
VICE News attended the Solutions COP21 exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, where energy companies, car manufacturers, and other corporate groups displayed what climate activists consider to be false solutions for the future. There, we witnessed plainclothes police officers corralling and suppressing demonstrators, along with members of the international press and unsuspecting visitors.
