0:38Now PlayingOn Thursday at 12pm EST VICE News correspondent Danny Gold () will join On The Line to take your questions on the escalating violence between gangs and police in El Salvador.
El Salvador has now eclipsed neighboring Honduras as the most murderous peacetime country in the world. To combat the violence, the government has given police and military permission to shoot first, and ask questions later. The country's supreme court has ruled that gangs should be defined as terrorist organizations, and gang members can face terrorism charges.
Danny Gold traveled to El Salvador for VICE News to investigate what many are now calling a war between the street gangs and the government.
