Despite that, the four-man hard rock outfit from San Antonio, TX have managed to snag nominations in all three Rock categories – putting them ahead of fellow 2017 nominees Foo Fighters, Metallica, and Chris Cornell.
Most of the music press was caught off guard by their nominations. VICE News Tonight visited the band in their hometown to find out why this was the first time most people were hearing about them.
