A federal judge has called it a poll tax. But officials with the state of Florida are fighting to keep a law that requires former felons to pay their fees before being allowed to vote. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for August 18th, which is an election day in Florida. That means over 700,000 potential voters won't be able to participate in their local primaries. But they have new allies, and they include some of the biggest names in the NBA.
