Pornhub is the 10th most visited website in the world, but there’s a dark side to it. Dozens of women in recent years have accused Pornhub of allowing abusive content to be uploaded to the site, and yet it’s multi-millionaire owner has managed to evade scrutiny by hiding in the shadows.
Alexi Mostrous, investigations editor at Tortoise Media, teamed up with reporter Xavier Greenwood to track the elusive owner of Mindgeek, which operates Pornhub, down. By scouring social media, they stumbled across his girlfriend's blog, which gave away his exact location to one of the richest streets in London.
