YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIt's been a long wait but my first movie review is here. Those who follow me on Twitter (@SKozakMedia) may remember that I decided to delay its release to address some timely aspects of the film's subject matter. Not only did I delay it, I added some additional material. Though it does break up the flow a little, I feel it was necessary to point these issues out, plus I added a little bit of comparison to show how Judge Dredd's fictional dystopia on screen compares with the USA in 2020. I'd like to believe my audience can handle it.
Judge Dredd (1995) is often considered to be a flop (though it was profitable), but it was an exemplar of some of the better features of 90's science fiction and superhero movies. Some of its features, particularly in storytelling and worldbuilding, actually excel where today's modern blockbusters fail.
Despite its flaws, it is a great example of 90's action cinema.
PS- Apologies in advance to Rob Schneider. I may have gone a little too hard on him.
