Oysters had all but disappeared from Portsmouth - largely because of over-fishing - but now they are back.
Researchers reintroduced thousands of adult molluscs last year and they are now reproducing on their own.
Lewis is now almost 229 miles into his 350 miles swim. The endurance swimmer stopped at Hayling Island in Hampshire where he met our Science Correspondent Thomas Moore.
