The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has told Sky News that it now regards obesity as a disease - rather than a lifestyle choice - and it is calling on the government to do the same.

Some experts say that obesity will not be tackled properly until it is seen as a disease but others say this could be dangerous.

According to the World Health Organisation, 30% of adults in the UK are obese and that number has tripled since 1980, making the UK the most obese country in western Europe.

Sky's Charlotte Lomas reports.
