She was speaking following a weekend in which two promising teenagers were stabbed to death.
17-year-old Jodie Chesney was killed in a park in east London on Friday night, and the following day, Yousef Ghaleb Makki, also 17, was knifed in Hale Barns in Greater Manchester.
Sky's Mark Austin was joined by Jennifer Blake, a former gang member, who says drugs and a lack of opportunities are driving youths to pick up a knife.
