9:11Now PlayingFrench president Emmanuel Macron has told Boris Johnson he believes the Irish backstop is "indispensable" to any Brexit deal with the EU.
The British PM travelled to Paris in a bid to gain support for a new Brexit agreement, which he has said he hopes to negotiate within the next 30 days.
However, speaking at a press conference, Macron said it will not be possible to come up with a new deal that is "very different from the existing one" within a month.
