Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says there may be benefits to wearing face coverings in spaces where it is difficult to stay two metres away from others - for example food shops and on public transport.

But Ms Sturgeon said people should still stay at home, adding that the wearing of coverings was not mandatory and not recommended for children aged two or under.
