4:03Now PlayingAfter years of campaigning by families, an independent review has found that children suffered "avoidable harm" from the failure to regulate the drug Primodos in the 1960s and 70s.
The drug was given to women as a hormone pregnancy test. But in late 1970s it was realised that severe congenital malformations, and in some cases miscarriages, may have been caused by the drug which has been described as the "forgotten thalidomide".
