1:53Now PlayingLebanon's Prime Minister Hassan Diab has announced the resignation of the country's government after saying the explosion last week was the result of endemic corruption.
Mr Diab also said "we are with the people in calling for trying those responsible for this crime" as he spoke at the presidential palace on Monday evening.
Demonstrators had demanded political change after an explosion in Beirut killed more than 160 people and injured at least 6,000 last week.
