British Medical Association chair Dr Chaand Nagpaul tells Ridge there are "real challenges" ahead for the NHS.

He says anyone with an "urgent medical problem" should not be "deterred" from contacting the health service.

"We don't want to go back to the first peak, when we saw only 50% of patients with heart attacks attending hospital," Dr Nagpual adds.
