At least, that is the optimistic forecast from the Deputy Chief Medical Officer Professor Jonathan Van-Tam.
A study by pharmaceutical giant, Pfizer with German biotech firm, Biontech shows their vaccine to be more than 90 per cent effective in preventing people from getting COVID-19.
The UK has already ordered 40 million doses and scientists are now weighing in on how effective they believe it will be - it's being fast tracked for emergency approval.
