YouTube Description
as posted by the channelHealth Secretary Matt Hancock says the government tried as 'hard as it could' to protect people who lived in care homes at the beginning of the pandemic.
He says the government could only introduce testing for people going from hospital to care homes once testing capacity was built.
Mr Hancock's comments come following evidence given by the PM's former senior adviser, Dominic Cummings, that claims the government had provided a 'shield' around care homes was "complete nonsense".
