Mr Biden had set Tuesday as the deadline for ending the evacuation and getting the remaining US troops out of Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Taliban members armed with American weapons gathered at Kabul airport, celebrating what they are calling 'Afghanistan's independence day'.
