The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan says TfL is one of the largest transport organisations in the world, but receives the least amount of government funding.
He said that before the COVID-19 pandemic, most funding came from fares but since lockdown their profits have reduced dramatically, forcing TfL to go to the government for support.
