So the government is rolling out a huge campaign to deliver booster vaccinations to all adults by the end of January - something he described as a 'national mission'.
And Mr Javid reiterated the Prime Minister's appeal to not cancel Christmas parties or school nativities - but he said he would be taking a lateral flow test beforehand.
