The Deputy Prime Minister said the UK and other nations will enforce economic and financial sanctions on Moscow if Russia invades Ukraine as troops mount at the border.
He also told Trevor Phillips that Tory MP Nusrat Ghani should have made a formal complaint over claims she was told by a whip, who she did not identify, that her "Muslimness was raised as an issue" at a meeting in Downing Street.
