YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

General Secretary of RMT Eddie Dempsey has told Sky News that the "government has scuppered talks and the strikes remain on."

He said he saw the latest developments as "an escalation of the dispute."

The RMT is asking for a pay rise in line with inflation but the government argues that would cause a 1970s-style, wage-price spiral.
