as posted by the channelThe number of people waiting to start routine hospital treatment in England has reached a record high.
Seven million patients were waiting to start treatment at the end of August, NHS England said, with one in every 18 waiting for more than 12 months.
Ambulance waiting times were also revealed, showing that people with life-threatening illnesses or injuries waited an average of nine minutes 19 seconds. The target for such incidents is seven minutes.
