Shadow Women and Equalities Secretary Anneliese Dodds has told Sky News “things need to change” for nurses after the Royal College of Nursing announced its first-ever national walkout.

Nurses are calling for a 19% pay rise – much higher than what other unions are asking for.

Strike are taking place across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

However in Scotland, industrial action is being paused while pay negotiations continue.
