as posted by the channelA expert in infectious diseases is calling for a vaccine to be developed for Strep A after a surge in infections and the deaths of four children in the UK.
Professor Adam Finn, Former President of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases, told Sky News there isn't currently a "vaccine in the pipeline" but he feels the organism has "been ignored over the years" and it can go onto cause serious illnesses.
Professor Finn said it was time we "found a way to prevent it".
